My first impression of the novel was that it was interesting to learn about another culture but the book was kind of boring since I do not know much about the Igbo way of life. The igbo culture is very rich in religion and i think that is great but the way their views on the earth is a little child like to me. For example they don't say yes when they hear someone outside saying their names because they think it could be an evil spirit calling them and they don't bury there dead in the ground because of a certain illness they have.
